Kids like Geron need your help

Geron Brown, 6, loves basketball, karate, and dancing. He also likes school, but has been unable to attend since being diagnosed earlier this year with leukemia. What started as pain in his ankles and feet progressed into difficulty walking. Blood tests discovered the leukemia. Now, every other week, Geron must stay at Kosair Children’s Hospital to receive chemotherapy treatment. When he is out in public, he wears a mask to protect him from airborne illnesses.

His treatment will last another few months, meaning he will have spent a year receiving treatments: six months of that year actually in the hospital.

Your support means the world to Geron and the thousands of kids who need help at Kosair Children’s Hospital each year. With your help, the hospital is able to provide the kind of care and caring children deserve.

Funds raised through Chili’s Grill and Bar® icon sales, beginning Jan. 11 to Feb. 14, 2010, benefit Kosair Children’s Hospital through the University of Louisville Dance Marathon.
