How does ULDM benefit Kosair Children’s Hospital?
Unversity of Louisville Dance Marathon helps to support numerous areas of Kosair Children’s Hospital. Your donation helps to:
- Expand the hospital’s neonatal intensive care unit (NICU), which cares for more than 1,000 critically ill and premature babies each year
- Support child life, expressive therapy and music therapy, which help patients cope with pain, teach them about medical procedures and provide distraction
- Support the Cancer Care and Renal Center, with funding for programs and research that help kids with cancer
- Support the Children’s Hospital Foundation Office of Child Advocacy, which works to keep kids safe and out of the hospital
- Support education for the hundreds of children who require hospitalization for asthma each year – working to help them manage their disease
- Expand the hospital’s imaging services and Congenital Heart Center to allow them to meet growing patient needs
- Support research into new treatments that will save the lives of thousands of children
